DONUT Basic User Training
The DONUT Basic User Training course provides delegates with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to correctly use the DONUT personal controlled descent device as part of an emergency escape from an offshore installation or other work environment where the DONUT system is provided.
The course covers the purpose and operation of the equipment, pre-use considerations, correct fitting and preparation, safe deployment, and the procedures to follow when using the DONUT system during an emergency.
Training combines theory with practical, hands-on instruction, giving delegates the opportunity to become familiar with the equipment and practise the correct escape and controlled descent techniques in a supervised training environment.
Particular emphasis is placed on safe operation, correct body positioning and developing the confidence required to use the system effectively should an emergency escape become necessary.
Courses are delivered at our dedicated training centre in Norwich, Norfolk, where ACMS Training Ltd is an Accredited Training Partner for DONUT Safety Systems.
Training is delivered by approved DONUT instructors using dedicated training equipment and facilities, providing delegates with practical experience of the system alongside the underpinning knowledge required for its safe use.
